In October 2018, Advanced Recovery Systems announced a partnership with Cooper University Health Care to build a new state-of-the-art, 90-bed inpatient treatment facility in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This facility, The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper, now delivers compassionate, evidence-backed care for substance use disorders and co-occuring mental health conditions.

What a great place and an amazing experience. Unfortunately, not every "rehab" is like this (see my review on Flager Health and Wellness). Given, it doesn't say much about me as I've been in rehab multiple times. Had I started here maybe the outcome would have been better the first time. I was only there to detox but would've happily stayed for 30 or 45 days. It's a drag but I simply had too much happening at work to stay longer. When I left it was good to go home but I was sincerely sad to leave. The staff, in particular Lee Anne, were absolutely great, the food was awesome and the groups sessions were eye opening, encouraging and, in a very profound way, life changing. The people that I met were also wonderful. While no one is excited to go to rehab they create an environment where you'd think the opposite. The stories that were shared were moving and reassuring. There's something motivating to know that you're not in this alone. My roommate was a bit of a weirdo, but they've got no control over that.I cannot recommend the Recovery Village enough. If you have a substance abuse issue (which many, many people do), pick up the phone and call them. Don't be scared or apprehensive, these people are truly there to help you.The only complaint I have concerns their IOP, which I think has since merged into the general OP. I was enrolled, and really benefited from it. I had to attend a work conference in the middle of this. Despite explaining this, providing documentation, etc., I was dropped and not allowed to complete because I missed two sessions (again, I was in conferences that didn’t conclude until late in the evening). The counselor with whom I was working (think her name was Cindy) didn’t even bother to return my calls. I was really disappointed over this and had to drop a star from the rating.But overall this place really is great. I don’t even hold a grudge against the counselor who didn’t return my calls. Got the feeling she was running in 30 directions at once. So, if you, or someone you know, has that monkey on their back, give the Recovery Village a try.

The Recovery Village has saved my life! The staff in Cherry Hill is hands down the best of the best! Trauma therapy was a game changer for me! Tiffany is the ABSOLUTE BEST..she listens, she really gets to know her clients and connects with them on a personal level providing trust, support, encouragement and profound insight. The BHT’s were amazing, Dom, Big Kevin, Gia, Rashad, Jas, Shannon, Lori, Frank, and their leaders Jenn and Kevin… they took the time to get to know you better and have a good relationship with patients. The leadership team takes the time to get to know you and you’re more than just a number, they take the time to help in anyway they can. Matt, alumni coordinator, is unlike anyone I have ever met! He goes above and beyond for patients and advocates for us..he does an incredible amount of service to keep us connected, super grateful! This place was great for me and I think it would be great for anyone who does it for the right reasons. They say we'll find whatever we're looking for and if you're looking for a good environment for treatment this is the place for you. The clinical staff was great. My therapist challenged me and I grew from it. The techs were hit and miss but anywhere I went I feel like its the same. When ppl care about their jobs and put their hearts in it, it really does make a difference in the lives of those struggling. The team at Recovery Village cared enough to do whatever they could to accommodate anyone and everyone. If you want recovery you have to work at it and this place provides the tools to make it just a little bit easier to accomplish. The center needs to work on staff, patient ratio to lessen medication being missed because there wasn’t anyone to dispense it. Also,. People should not be allowed in class if they can’t be on time.
